About Martin Bailey
A photographer at my core, I’ve had a camera in my hand most of the time since I was a teenager. I’ve lived in Japan since 1991. After working for a few years, I went to college here and graduated with honors in 1997, with a firm knowledge of emerging multi-media productions. When podcasting emerged in 2005 I started as the third photography Podcast in iTunes, and remain an active podcaster to this day. Almost all of our 800+ blog posts have an audio player so that you can listen along, or just read, if you prefer.
Japan Winter Wildife
Since 2008 I have been running tours & workshops in Japan, my home country, and around the world. My first and most popular tour focuses on the majestic wildlife of Hokkaido, the northern-most island of Japan, with an excursion to Nagano to photograph the amazing snow monkeys to kick off my Japan Winter Wildlife tours.
Hokkaido Landscape
I have been traveling to Hokkaido, the northern-most island of Japan since 2006, and following a reconnaissance trip in 2010, I developed a minimalist winter landscape tour during which we almost circumnavigate the island. It remains one of my personal favorite tours and I hope to see you there.

A keen musician, I developed a plugin to integrate the excellent KORG Minilogue XD synthesizer to Ableton Live, enabling two-way synchronization of all the controls on the hardware synth.
